COVID-19
We would like to give you a brief update on how the COVID-19 virus is and has affected us.
Inventory and the Chicago Store
We just received a large shipment to restock and have other shipments on their way right now. We ramped up production in November to better prepare for the Chinese New Year and end of year shipping rush. At this time we do not foresee any stock shortages of existing products that are currently in stock. The only product that has been affected by this has been our Dubblers which should be back in stock around the end of April or early May. We still have additional inventory in transit to resellers and the USA to restock as our current inventory sells.
At this time our store in Chicago will remain open for shipping which will continue. We ask that if you are sick, show any signs, or feel different please do not visit the store, stay home and get better; place your orders online; seek medical help if needed. If you need supplies today/tomorrow please let us know and we will be happy to work with you to allow you to pick up your product from our store in a controlled manner that is both safe and convenient for you and our employees. We will continue to follow all guidelines set forth by the federal agencies such as the FDA, CDC etc along with all state and other local governments.
Shipping
We will continue shipping everything and things are still moving out the door. If you have any questions about your order please feel free to reach out to us. Many of our employees are working from home and are available during normal business hours via phone, but best by email
With regard to our manufacturing and inventory
The majority of our products are produced in China. Most experts will confirm that the COVID-19 virus has a limited time in which it can survive outside of the human body.
WHO, The World Health Organization has advised as follows: "The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low."
Transit times to cross the ocean far exceed any timeframe in which any transmissions can occur from our manufacture or warehouse in China. In addition to this our factory does adhere to FDA standards to include but not limited to UV Air Treatment, sophisticated air filtration systems similar to HEPA, protective clothing and more in all appropriate areas.
Community
Everyone that works at Tykables cares about each other and we care about the community. We urge you to follow all recommendations for your area and to do whatever you can to protect yourself and your loved ones. Please practice basic steps like washing your hands frequently and practice social distancing when, if you have to, go outside. Please focus on the positive things, call or text a friend, but keep things upbeat. While the COVID-19 may spread, so too will a few kind and loving words from a friend. Take care of yourself, remind your friends and loved ones that you are thinking of them, and together we will all get through this.
As things update we will post more on our blog, a newsletter, or social media.
